Any surveys conducted
from this domain are being conducted by The Survey Lab at
Portland
Research Group.
The Survey Lab will never try to sell or promote anything through a surveying effort. Our surveys are genuine
marketing research surveys using scientific methods and we promote that, in
obtaining your cooperation, we will not mislead you about the nature of
the research or the use of the findings.
|
Furthermore, we commit and
adhere to the following... |
-
Confidentiality: We
will always treat any information you give us as confidential unless you
have given your consent to the contrary. In the relatively few
instances where we ask you for permission to pass data on in a form which
allows you to be personally identified, we will ensure that the information
will be used only for the purposes stated. We will not send you
unsolicited mail or pass on your email address to others for this
purpose. If we want to send you future email, we will ask your
explicit permission for this.
-
Aggregate Reporting:
Individual
responses from any surveys are pulled together into a single data set for
analysis. The aggregate information is used to help companies understand
how people experience their procedures, methods, products, and services.
Companies are then able to modify means of doing business so that they can best
meet the needs of their employees and customers.
-
Waiver of
Confidentiality in Free-Text Questions: Information on an individual is never shared with a client or any
third party unless that individual presents personal information in an
open-ended, free-text question. Whilst The Survey Lab presents survey data only in
aggregate, open-ended questions are presented to the client on request and are
not always edited by The Survey Lab to remove respondent identifying information.
-
Subpoena:
Consent
may be waived in the event that The Survey Lab is subpoenaed in a legal dispute.
-
Cooperation is Voluntary:
At all times, we will respect that your cooperation is voluntary. No
personal information is sought from or about you, without your prior
knowledge and agreement. You are entitled at any stage of the interview,
or subsequently, to
ask that
part or all of the record of your interview be destroyed or
deleted. Wherever reasonable and practical, we will carry out such a
request.
-
Spamming: We will not knowingly send an
unsolicited email to anyone who has requested not to receive such
emails. All lists are passed through a "do-not-contact"
database before any study begins. You can be included in our
"do-not-contact" database by sending an email to
privacy@surveylab.net
stating that you wish never to be contacted by us.
-
Frequency of Contact: We will not contact
any one person more than 4 times per calendar year without
consent. The Survey Lab Panel members may be contacted more frequently only
after clear consent on rare occasions where a specific research design warrants
it.
-
Intercepts: We will, at times, use the
process of browser intercepts to collect email addresses or solicit a
browser of a particular web site to participate in a market research
survey. This will always be done with the particular web site's
approval. We commit to doing so in a non-intrusive and
user-friendly manner.
-
Rewards: We will, at times, include cash
drawings or other incentives to survey participants as a thank you for your
time. We will require you to provide an email address so that we can
contact you if you are to be a recipient of such reward. With your
consent, we will require personal information for purposes of payment.
This personal information will never be used for any other purpose.
You are required to follow all applicable state and federal tax laws related
to contest winnings.
-
Minors: We will,
at all times, try our best not to interview children without first getting
the permission of a parents or guardian, though we cannot always guarantee this to
be the case due to the nature of the Internet.
-
Invisible Processing: We automatically capture
information about your browser type, operating system, IP address, and
survey complete date/ time as a part of the survey process in order to deliver
an interview best suited to your software. We do no other invisible
processing of data from your computer.
-
Cookies: We, at
times, may make use of cookies and other similar devices. We do so
sparingly and only for quality control, validation, and to prevent bothersome
repeat surveying. You can configure your browser to notify you
when cookies are being placed on your computer. You can also delete
cookies by adjusting your browser settings.
-
Security: Our web site
has security measures in place to protect the loss, misuse, and alteration
of the information under our control. Only certain employees have
access to the information you provide us. They have access only for
data analysis and quality control purposes.
-
